Test results are available after 14:00, Monday - Friday (excluding bank holidays or during afternoons where the practice is closed for staff training).
We do not directly receive any test results that have been requested by a hospital consultant. Please ask your consultant how you will be informed of your results or contact them if you have not heard from them.
If a clinician has advised that you require a blood test, you can book an appointment with the Health Board Phlebotomy Service or with the practice.
In the first instance, please use the Health Board Phlebotomy Service. To book an appointment with the Health Board, you can do so by calling 03000 850047 or by visiting the following website 'Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Phlebotomy Service'. You MUST collect your blood form from the practice. If you do not have your blood form on the day of your appointment, you will be asked to re-schedule your appointment. The Health Board cannot generate or re-print blood forms.
To book an appointment with the practice, please call us on 01244 520615 or 01244 550939, or ask at the reception desk.
If you are experiencing symptoms which you feel require a blood test, please contact Reception to book an appointment with a clinician. Our Reception Team cannot print/generate a blood form unless it has been requested by a Clinician.
We ask that all patients allow a minimum of 3 working days following their test for their results to be received and reviewed by a clinician, this includes urine tests, stool samples and swab results . Some tests can take longer to be sent back to us in which case, the clinician who is requesting the test will advise you of this or our Reception Team may need to ask you to call back after a few more days have passed.
Please allow a minimum of 7 working days before contacting the surgery for your result. Sometimes it may take longer for your result to be returned to the practice (please see above for hospital requested tests). The Clinician who is performing your X-ray/Scan should advise on how long it may take for the results to be sent back to the practice.
