Marches Medical Practice

We are a two site practice based in Broughton and Buckley.  The practice dates back to the 1930's, at one time operating from five small surgeries.  Over the years we have slimmed down to two surgeries which are approximately equal in size.

We currently have 7 GP partners and 6 Salaried GP's who are fully supported by an excellent clinical team of ANP's, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants and highly motivated administration and reception staff.

The practice runs the Vasectomy Service for the whole of North Wales in conjunction with Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board.

At the Marches Medical Practice it is our aim to provide and maintain a comprehensive, efficient and individual service.  At extremely busy times we would ask for your patience and understanding.

Please note all calls to and from the surgery are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

Practice Boundary

The Marches Medical Practice has a practice area encompassing Buckley and Broughton.  We are currently registering patients who live in Buckley, Drury, Dobshill, Manor Lane, Broughton and Bretton.

Training Practice

We are an approved training practice for postgraduate and undergraduate training.

We have one or two GP Registrars with us at any one time.  They are fully qualified doctors undergoing specialist postgraduate training in General Practice.

We facilitate training for Medical Students attending the universities of Cardiff, Bangor, Liverpool and occasionally even Imperial College and Kings College in London.

Zero Tolerance
As a practice we take it extremely seriously if a member of staff is treated in an abusive or violent way.  We support the government's Zero Tolerance Policy for Health Service Staff.  Anyone attending the surgery who abuses GP's, staff or other patients (be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever) will risk removal from the practice list.  In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.

No Smoking    We operate a non-smoking policy on the premises

Wheelchair Access   All the consulting rooms are on the ground floor and accessible by wheelchair
